The month of January 1991 should be quite fun. We have several meetings and training sessions scheduled. Here are the details: AMUG Hosts Softview, Baseline and Symantec! On January 17, 1991 AMUG will host Softview, Baseline and IBS. Softview will show Macintax (a great way to do Mac taxes) , Forms Design ( a nice form/database package) and more. Baseline will demonstrate its 24 bit color paint program, Talking Moose and several other utilities. IBS will show their new Network program DataClub. This meeting will be at 7:00PM in Phoenix at the Howard Johnson Hotel, located at University and the Freeway. -- part contents for background part 10 ----- text ----- We expect several great products to be available as door prizes so be sure and plan for this evening! AMUG PREFERRED First Iconic BBS in Arizona On December 1, 1990 AMUG introduced the first Iconic BBS in Arizona history. This Bulletin Board Service is the first I have seen that performs with a Macintosh interface. Some of the features include a totally iconic interface, the system mounts to your desktop like a hard drive, ability to drag files from the BBS to your hard drive and start a Z Modem transfer automatically, or drag several at once for multiple transfers. AMUG members will be allowed to join this BBS for an introductary fee of only $15.00
